My first sweater is done! For Christmas, Karen gave me a pattern book, yarn and all the necessary needles to make a sweater. And now it's done! I'm really pleased. It turned out very well. I feel so proud. Like I'm now a real knitter.
(edited to add: I made it a size 2, since I didn't know how long it would take me. It won't fit Kate until next winter. Alas.)

It looks totally amazing! I would wear that (a little bigger maybe). You did soooo well.
I have a few hats on the list to make next, and then maybe i'll start sweaters for your girls. Get a jump on next christmas. Or maybe I'll make them ponchos for the spring!!
Ok, i'm an addict. Way too excited about ponchos.
You have knitting fever! I had that when I first started, too. I was the queen of scarf and hat sets. Now it takes me like a year to finish anything. I haven't knit one stitch since Nora was born. I've gotta bring my awesome Nursery Knits book next time I see you.
Wow! Great job on the sweater. I'm not quite ready to attempt that yet. Still enjoying the hats and scarves too much.
